Our Time and Wiggle and Grow

What is the difference?

The basics of the class are the same and the ages they are for are basically the same
BUT there are two main differences:

FIRST - number of themes or units:
Our Time has two major themes that each last 16 weeks. The first one, Milk and Cookies, has activities and songs are all based around common and familiar tasks around the home - cooking, cleaning, playing together. It's a really fun unit.

Wiggle and Grow is made up of multiple four week long units or themes. The units include: Time for Lunch, Colors and Shapes on the Farm, Rhyme around Town, Marvelous Me, Silly all over etc.

Even with different themes, a lot of the songs and activities are similar if not the same.

SECOND - home materials:
The home materials for "Our Time" are all physical materials. You get one set of home materials every 16 weeks (two per school year), the first set includes cute insulated lunch bag, two CD's, two story books that we will read in class, an activity book for you and a "stir xylophone" instrument, you also get a code to download the music from the internet in MP3 format.

Each Wiggle and Grow unit has a set of digital home materials that you access via the internet and can enjoy together on the computer or on an ipad. You also download the music for each unit from your home materials - no CD's. You can see a sample if it here. You will also get two instruments (possibly three - I'm figuring that out) and one book that has three stories, each from a different units. All stories you can access as part of the digital home materials.

There is a lot of overlap with songs and activities we do in class. All are developmentally appropriate and based on research on brain, social, emotional and academic development. I don't think you can go wrong either way.
